Islamabad, 18 November 2022 (TDI): Twitter is ablaze with the trends like #GoodByeTwitter, #RIPTwitter, and #TwitterDown making its users wonder if it’s going to crash or close down.
According to Twitter news, Elon Musk and Twitter informed the employees of the microblogging platform that “effective immediately all office buildings were closed temporarily!”
Ever since Elon Musk’s $44 billion acquisition of the social media platform, which began on April 14, 2022, and ended on October 27, 2022, the social media network has been in news for one or another reason.
Reportedly, hundreds of employees are leaving the organization ahead of Elon Musk’s Twitter 2.0 phase. Several sources have claimed that they were informed about employees being told about the change being effective immediately.
All office buildings will be temporarily closed until 21 November 2022. The Twitterati, as a result, have reacted and questioned if Twitter is going down today.
It is evident that the tech mogul and the new CEO of Twitter has brought a completely new series of uncertainties to the microblogging company.
Moreover, shortly after Musk took over, the company’s new management let go of thousands of employees amid rumors of financial instability at Twitter and across the entire digital industry.
Likewise, recent reports claim that the employee-used Twitter-app has slowed down, raising fears that a crash might happen as early as tonight.
Besides, a lot of users have also reported slow performance as well as interruptions in content loading times on the social media platform, which reinforces the rumors about a possible crash.
It is also noteworthy that a meeting with the CEO was held with the sole purpose to sway key personnel in an effort to persuade them not to resign from their positions.
Additionally, Musk posted, adding fuel to fire, that he was unconcerned about the widespread resignations because Twitter’s best and brightest employees had chosen to stay on staff.
Nevertheless, it can also be a marketing stunt or strategy to evaluate the stakes. Owing to Elon Musk’s mercurial decisions, anything is possible!
