President Pezeshkian thanked the Prime Minister and appreciated the efforts of the Pakistani leadership to bring about a temporary ceasefire between Iran and the US and conveyed his best wishes for the people of Pakistan. He confirmed that Iran would be participating in the negotiations in Islamabad.
Both sides agreed to remain in close contact as efforts continue toward a broader understanding.
The upcoming talks in Islamabad are being viewed as an important opportunity to build on the current ceasefire and move toward a more durable framework for peace. Diplomatic circles suggest that confidence-building measures and broader regional stability will be key items on the agenda.
Observers note that Pakistan’s role as a facilitator reflects its ongoing efforts to promote dialogue and de-escalation in times of heightened tensions. The engagement of multiple stakeholders is expected to play a crucial role in ensuring that negotiations remain constructive and forward-looking.
While challenges remain, the willingness of both sides to come to the table is being seen as a positive step. The international community is likely to closely monitor the developments, hoping that sustained dialogue will lead to a lasting resolution.
