Islamabad, 30 November 2021 (TDI): The United States (US) embassy in Islamabad announced that the United States department combating International Narcotics and Crime Department (INL), will provide funding of $10 million to Pakistan.
According to the United States Department of INL, there should be an increase in women barracks. The increase in Barracks would create more opportunities for the recruitment of women in Pakistan’s institutions for Justice.

The US Department of INL aspires to build women barracks at 15 law enforcement and prosecution academies in different regions of Pakistan. Therefore, the INL department is funding almost $10 Million to the government of Pakistan.
The involvement of Women in the Justice system would provide Justice for all. The department of INL has already started construction of Women Accommodation at the newly established police training center in Shahkas at Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. The Women Barracks is scheduled to be completed by July next year.
Importance of Women in Pakistan’s Justice System
Every gender plays an important role in society. Therefore, the involvement of women in a state’s justice system is important because women have the potential to cover various other aspects.
Such as the enhancement of services for all genders equally, women interacting with women regarding the crime or about victimization provides them with a comfort zone. This would encourage the recruitment of more women in the Justice System. The department of INL wants to create accommodation centers in 15 different areas in Pakistan. Thus, providing more opportunities to the young and potential women of Pakistan.
This is another groundbreaking barrier in the promotion of Women’s Rights in Pakistan. The encouragement and involvement of Women in every sector are important and Pakistan is truly doing a commendable job at it.
