Hamas Approves Hostage List Amid Gaza Airstrikes

Gaza (TDI): Hamas has agreed to a list of 34 hostages proposed by Israel for a potential exchange, a group official said on Sunday, according to Reuters.

The official, who requested anonymity, said that any agreement would depend on an Israeli withdrawal from Gaza and the establishment of a permanent ceasefire.

However, the office of Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said that as of Sunday, the group had not provided any names for a hostage exchange.

On the same day, Israeli airstrikes killed at least fourteen Palestinians in three separate strikes in Gaza, raising the weekend death toll to 102, Palestinian medics said.

Five people were killed in a strike on a house in al-Nuseirat camp, 4 others in Jabalia, and 5 more at a police station in Khan Younis.

The latest attacks targeted a house in Gaza City’s Sheikh Radwan neighborhood, where 7 people were killed and others were feared trapped under rubble.

In a separate development, Israeli forces claimed responsibility for attacking more than 100 targets across Gaza, resulting in the killings of dozens of Hamas fighters and the destruction of rocket launch sites.

Renewed Diplomatic Efforts for Ceasefire

The war has prompted renewed diplomatic efforts for a ceasefire deal and the return of Israeli hostages.

Negotiations mediated by Qatari and Egyptian officials have resumed, with the US also pressuring Hamas to reach an agreement.

However, progress remains uncertain as the conflict continues to devastate the embattled strip, where 45,805 Palestinians have been died so far, according to Gaza’s health ministry.
