Berlin, 28 August 2021 (TDI): The Ambassador of Germany to Latvia, on the 30th anniversary of the re-establishment of the diplomatic relations between Germany and Latvia, congratulated both countries on friendly relations.
The Ambassador, Christian Heldt recalled the historic day of 28 August 1991 when the Latvian FM arrived in Bonn and re-established the diplomatic ties with Germany
The Latvian Foreign Ministry tweeted, “Today we celebrate the 30th anniversary of the restoration of diplomatic relations between Latvia and Germany. We have a diverse and close history of diplomatic relations. Today, as strategic partners, we jointly create the future of Europe.”
