Berlin, 7 October 2022 (TDI): The Foreign Minister of Pakistan, Bilawal Bhutto Zardari, and the Foreign Minister of Germany, Annalena Baerbock addressed a joint presser after meeting in Berlin on Friday.
The Foreign Minister of Pakistan is on a two-day visit to Germany at the invitation of the German Foreign Minister.
During the visit, Germany pledged an additional 10 million euro relief package for flood relief in Pakistan.
German Foreign Minister Annalena Baerbock made the statement with her Pakistani counterpart Bilawal Bhutto Zardari at the joint news conference.
She expressed condolences for the families impacted by the tragic floods and stated that Pakistan is the most-affected country by climate change.

Pakistani and German Foreign Ministers conducted a joint presser where Foreign Minister Bilawal Bhutto Zardari said he wants to get justice for his people.
Pakistan produces less than one percent of global emissions, but it is among the top climate-affected countries in the world.
He said Pakistan needs a green revolution and green politics.
Zardari shared that during his meeting with Baerbock, the two leaders discussed measures to improve cooperation and people-to-people contact.
He acknowledged that there is a significant Pakistani community in Germany. It is a strong bridge between the two countries.
Moreover, he highlighted that Germany is one of Pakistan’s largest trading partners. The trade between the two countries is increasing and the GSP+ status has been mutually beneficial.
Pakistan, according to Bilawal, is still concerned about the ongoing conflict in Ukraine. He stated that Pakistan wants to settle the issue via communication and diplomacy.
He added that, despite being mostly a recipient of aid, Pakistan gave humanitarian help to both Ukraine and Afghanistan.
On the occasion, Germany’s foreign minister stated that Pakistan could count on the solidarity of the German people and government.
She said that no matter how tough the issues under discussion were, Germany is grateful to the Pakistani Foreign Minister that he visited in these difficult times.
She added that Pakistan can continue to rely on Germany’s solidarity.
Concluding her remarks, she said her country looks forward to continuing the talks and engagements with Pakistan and thanked her Pakistani counterpart for coming to Berlin.
