Germany aims to help countries with COVID-19 vaccines

Berlin, 11 August 2021 (TDI): German Foreign Office claimed that in the harsh conditions of the Covid-19 pandemic, Germany will donate around 30 million vaccine doses to different countries of the world. The first batch of around 1.3 million doses that will be distributed by COVAX, a worldwide initiative aimed at equitable access to Covid-19 vaccines is on its way to countries like Afghanistan, Ethiopia, Sudan, Tajikistan, and Uzbekistan.

The global pandemic has killed hundreds of thousands of people and disrupted the lives of billions of people. COVAX serves as a pillar of access to the COVID-19 vaccine to reduce losses and help ensure fair access to the world led by Gavi, The Vaccine Alliance, and WHO. The German foreign office stated that more vaccines will be provided by Germany in the coming weeks to these countries as well.
