German Ambassador and AMWT sign water agreement

Islamabad, 11 August 2021 (TDI): German Ambassador to Pakistan, Bernhard Schlagheck has signed an agreement with Ameer Begum Welfare Trust in Islamabad on a micro project for filtration plants in Punjab. These projects will not only provide clean water for drinking purposes but also kill the microbes present in the water which are the cause of some pathogenic diseases.

The Amer Begum Trust is a leading non-profit organization working to improve the living conditions of the urban population of Punjab. It was founded by Rubina Shaheen Watto in 2003. Since its inception, it has been active in several areas, including education, health, relief work in natural disasters, Ramzan ration programs, Umrah Saadat Program, and many Iftar Programs. Now, the Ameer Begum Trust has moved forward to provide clean and pathogen-free water to the under-developed communities.
