German Ambassador to Pakistan pays tribute to polio workers

June 8, 2021 (TDI):  German Ambassador Bernhard Schlagheck to Pakistan pays rich tribute to polio workers by posting an appreciation post on his official Twitter account. He took to Twitter as on 7 June nation wide National Immunization Campaign for polio-free Pakistan launched. German Ambassador said he was happy to see the Anti-Polio campaign in Pakistan. He further added that despite the coronavirus pandemic, the Government of Pakistan is working hard for the eradication of poliovirus from the country. In the end, he urged the people of Pakistan to get their children vaccinated.

The German Ambassador also acknowledged and paid tribute to the polio workers for their commitment to their work. He shared a video of a dedicated woman polio worker Bibi Hoora from Pishin, Balochistan. In the short video, she told her journey as a polio worker, discussed the reaction from society, and how she still gracefully managed to work for the betterment of the country.
