Quetta, 25 October 2021(TDI): European Union’s Ambassador Androulla Kaminara visited BRSP programe’s office in Quetta on Saturday. EU initiated BRSP program to reduce poverty and improves rural communication of Balochistan Province.
During her visit, Ambassador Kaminara inaugrated a drinking water supply scheme. The scheme will provide drinking water to about 12,650 people in a locality.
According to BRSP, under this program of EU an estimated of 211 infrastructures will be constructed in 10 different districts of Balochistan. BRSP also reported that out of these 211 schemes 123 projects have been initiated.
During her visit of Balochistan province, Ambassador Kaminara also met with the beneficiaries of EU’s programs in Pishin. The beneficiaries also included women who especially benefitted from Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET) and EU grants.
Ambassador Kaminara also visited the BRSP office in Quetta and remarked that rural development of Pakistan is among the priority areas for EU in Pakistan.
