Islamabad, 21 March 2022 (TDI): Coordinator General of COMSTECH, Professor Dr Muhammad Iqbal Choudhary met with the Permanent Representative of Russia to the OIC, Ramazan Abdulatipov.
Danila Ganich, the Ambassador of Russia to Pakistan also accompanied him to the meeting that was held today. The dignitaries discussed as well as agreed to develop a 5-10-year collaboration programme between COMSTECH and the Russian Cooperation Agency.

The collaboration will be focused on the development of science and technology in the OIC member states. This programme will also help in developing linkages between the OIC member states and the Russian Cooperation Agency.
In addition to that, a scholars exchange programme along with the signing of MoUs with top Russian universities have also been planned as part of this programme. Along these lines, the Russian Federation will support the enhancing capacity in artificial intelligence.
Likewise, exploration of medical health care systems in the least developed countries especially African member states of the OIC will be part of the programme. In this regard, COMSTECH will enable visits of scientists, scholars, and technicians from OIC states.
The visits will be to the top-ranked science and technology institutions along with laboratories of the Russian Federation in the fields of biomedical sciences, engineering, basic sciences, and public health.
During the meeting, Ramazan Abdulatipov, the Permanent Representative of Russia to the OIC, lauded the role of Coordinator General COMSTECH, Muhammad Iqbal Choudhary for his endeavours to advance science and technology in OIC member states.
Coordinator-General of COMSTECH, Professor Choudhary also presented COMSTECH souvenirs to both the dignitaries.
