Chinese vaccines arrived in Myanmar

Yangon, 9 August 2021(TDI): Myanmar received the second batch of 1 million Chinese Sinovac vaccines. The batch of Chinese vaccines arrived at the Yangon International Airport on Sunday.
China has so far provided Myanmar with 4.5 million doses of COVID-19 vaccine, 2 million of which were procured by the Myanmar government.

The vaccine arrival is very significant for Myanmar as the third wave of COVID-19 has hit Myanmar like a tsunami. In such critical times and despite increased local demands China’s vaccine supply to Myanmar shows China’s commitment and aim of providing a better future for mankind.
