Harare: June 27, 2021 – (TDI): Around 500,000 Chinese produced Sino pharm vaccines arrived in Zimbabwe on Saturday. The Zimbabwean Finance Minister Mthuli Ncube received the shipment at Harare airport.
The Chinese Ambassador to Zimbabwe in a tweet said that the vaccine is in demand within china as well as internationally but China will do everything to help Zimbabwe in the current COVID situation. He also said that more Chinese vaccine is expected to arrive in Zimbabwe in the coming times.
Zimbabwe has entered into the third wave of the deadly virus. The shipment from China demonstrates the Chinese and Zimbabwean solidarity, and the newly arrived vaccines will boost up Zimbabwe’s vaccination program, the Chinese embassy in Zimbabwe tweeted.
