Islamabad, 15 January 2022 (TDI): A special gala performance was jointly organized and produced by the Chinese Ministry of Culture and Tourism, and the Chinese Embassy in Pakistan. It was telecasted through one of the most followed morning shows of HUM news, Subha Se Agay.
Vice Minister of the Ministry of Culture and Tourism of China, Zhang Xu delivered an impassioned address at the commencement of the performance. He comprehensively reviewed the great achievements of practical bilateral cooperation between China and Pakistan.
China and Pakistan collaborate in the fields of tourism and culture ever since the establishment of diplomatic relations between the two. He expressed his fervent expectations for further deepening and strengthening China-Pakistan cultural cooperation and exchanges.
Furthermore, Zhang Xu extended his earnest greetings for the people of Pakistan. He accentuated that the two ironclad partners are good partners, good neighbors, good brothers, and good friends.
He stated that since 1951 the bilateral friendship between China and Pakistan has always been unbreakable and firm, no matter how the international arena evolves. China-Pakistan tourism and cultural exchanges have been very fruitful over the past 70 years.
Both countries have signed 14 executive programs on tourism, culture, literature, heritage, youth, art, and education. Every year Chinese performing arts troupes visit Pakistan for Happy New Year celebrations and are warmly welcomed in Pakistan.
China Cultural Center in Pakistan has become an important forum for the Pakistani people to know more about Chinese society and culture and this has transpired with the emphatic support of Pakistan.
The special gala performance has been highly praised and widely spread. It was released online by the official Facebook of HUM TV. It received over one million views and 60 thousand likes in one day.
Cultural Counselor of the Chinese Embassy in Pakistan, the China Cultural Center in Pakistan, and the Cultural Office of the Chinese Embassy in Pakistan, Zhang Heqing, also posted the performance on Facebook and Twitter.
7 classic works of art from China and Pakistan were part of the gala performance. Peking Opera, ballet, violin concerto percussion, song, etc., were part of the performance. The performances were the epitome of the ironclad friendship between the two countries.
In addition, the gala performance served as a finale of the series of celebratory activities for the year 2021 and brought a successful end to the commemorative programs.
