Beijing, 19 September 2023(TDI): Chinese Assistant Foreign Minister Nong Rong held a significant meeting with a visiting Press Corps from the Balochistan Province of Pakistan on September 18.
During the meeting, Assistant Minister Nong Rong reiterated the unwavering friendship between China and Pakistan, describing their relationship as “ironclad.”
He emphasized the mutual support both countries have consistently provided, particularly during challenging times.
Assistant Minister Nong highlighted the ongoing mutually beneficial cooperation, stressing the shared goal of expanding cooperation opportunities for the Pakistani people, including those in Balochistan Province.
China places a high value on the development of the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC), focusing on high-quality development.
Assistant Minister Nong expressed China’s readiness to deepen industrial collaboration with Pakistan and accelerate the implementation of livelihood projects.
He pointed out the rapid progress at Gwadar Port, highlighting its positive impact on the local community.
Nong extended a warm invitation to the media to further report on these developments.
Nong Rong emphasized the importance of jointly creating a secure and predictable business environment to foster a mutually beneficial cycle of development and security.

In response, the Balochistan Press Corps expressed their consensus on the friendship with China, acknowledging the transformative impact of various projects such as Gwadar Port, roads, hospitals, and schools.

The Press Corps eagerly anticipates China’s continued support for the development of Balochistan Province, with the aim of further improving the well-being of the local population.
The Press Corps pledged to bridge the “information gap” between the people of Balochistan Province and the Chinese people, thus contributing to the strengthening of China-Pakistan relations.
