Mogadishu, 21 October 2021 (TDI): Chinese Ambassador to Somalia, FEI Shengchao, paid a courtesy call on Hassan Hussein Haji, the Minister of Defense of Somalia. The meeting aimed at enhancing bilateral cooperation and continuing security exchange between China and Somalia.

During their meeting the Chinese ambassador and the Defense Minister of Somalia discussed the security challenges and the current situation of Somalia.
FEI Shengchao, the Chinese ambassador to Somalia, portrayed interest and willingness to maintain security exchanges and support between the two countries.
Furthermore, China desires to work for a peaceful and prosperous Somalia. China is already working on various development and humanitarian projects in the Federal Republic of Somalia.
With this meeting both of the countries wants to further strengthen their relations. The meeting concluded on a friendly note where both of the attendees showed willingness to work for a better and secured Somalia.
