Amb. Moin-ul-Haque met Liu Jinsong

Beijing, 12 August 2021 (TDI): Pakistan’s Ambassador to China Moin-ul-Haque had a detailed meeting with Liu Jinsong, Director-General of the Department of Asian Affairs, MoFA China.

During the meeting, both sides had a conversation on important issues including the investigation progress of the Dasu bus incident, progress of CPEC, and anti pandemic cooperation.

Lui Jinsong while highlighting the strong diplomatic relations between China and Pakistan mentioned that the two states have demonstrated real iron-clad friendship despite several challenges. He also appreciated the cooperation between the two during the time of the pandemic. Talking about the Dasu attack, Lui mentioned that both Pakistan and China should work collaboratively to reach the root cause of the incident. He also appreciated Moin’s efforts in promoting relations between the two states and mentioned that he looks forward to working with him.

Ambassador Moin, for his part, mentioned that Pakistan and China have always been there for each other creating the true example of the iron brothers. He also thanked China for assisting Pakistan in its fight against the pandemic. He praised China’s continuous vaccine supply to Pakistan and reaffirmed Pakistan’s stance on the opposition of vaccine politicization.

Moin also underlined the importance of CPEC for Pakistan and condemned the recent Dasu attack. Talking about the attack, Moin mentioned that the loss of Chinese people is a personal loss for Pakistan and reassured Lui that Pakistan will find the reality of the attack and will provide a safe environment for the Chinese workers in Pakistan.

Ambassador Moin also shared his honor for serving as an ambassador to China and vowed to do everything in his capacity to enhance the bilateral relations between the two states.
