China’s military to military vaccine cooperation

-

Beijing, 24 August 2021 (TDI): China has stepped forward to enhance military to military vaccine cooperation by supplying COVID 19 vaccines to the militaries of Vietnam, Laos, and Cambodia.

Laos, Vietnam, and Cambodia’s military requested the Chinese military for vaccine supply. A batch of Chinese vaccines, provided by the Chinese People’s Liberation Army (PLA), arrived in the three states on 23rd August 2021, after China’s Central Military Commission (CMC) approved the request. The arrival of vaccines to these states is the implementation of Chinese President Xi Jinping’s key Declaration on making China’s COVID-19 vaccinations a global public good.

Apart from this military-to-military vaccine cooperation, China has actively practiced its vaccine diplomacy in East Asia by providing COVID19 vaccines for the civil population of these states.
