Tehran, 9 August 2021 (TDI): On behalf of China, the Ambassador of China to Iran Chang Hua congratulated the new President of Iran, Ebrahim Raisi, on assuming the duties as the eighth president of the Islamic Republic of Iran. He also expressed his pleasure to represent his country at the inauguration ceremony of the new President of Iran, which took place on 5, August 2021, Thursday.
Ambassador Chang Hua also shared remarks of China’s Foreign Minister Spokesperson, Hua Chunying, on president Ebrahim Raisi’s assumption of presidential duties. As the foreign policy of China gives great importance to the development of state-to-state relations, the spokesperson said that under the new leadership of Iran, China believes both states will cooperate and make development in different areas.
Hua Chunying also mentioned that on the 50th anniversary of the founding of diplomatic relations between two states, Beijing is prepared to avail the opportunity and cooperate with Tehran to enhance bilateral relations. On the other side, the new President gave his stance that fostering relations with neighboring and regional countries would be a priority of Iran’s foreign policy.
