Beijing, 19 February 2022 (TDI): China and Argentina are celeberating th golden jubilee of the establishment of diplomatic ties between the two countries, today.

In this regard, during the regular press conference, People’s Daily asked the Foreign Ministry Spokesperson, Wang Wenbin about the relations between the two countries.

The question was based upon China’s opinion on the relations during the last 50 years and what kinds of celebrations are expected? The spokesperson acknowledged the 50th anniversary of diplomatic relations between China-Argentina.

The partnership between the two countries has flourished over the last five decades, bearing fruit like an enormous tree. President Alberto Fernández recently visited China and attended the opening ceremony of the Beijing Olympic Winter Games.

He had a cordial and productive discussion with President Xi Jinping during his visit. The two presidents of the states praised the progress of bilateral relations since the diplomatic ties have been established.

They vowed to work together to usher in the next 50 years of glory for the China-Argentina comprehensive strategic partnership.

To mark the occasion of the golden anniversary, the two presidents of the states have announced the establishment of the China-Argentina Friendship and Cooperation Year 2022.

Through China-Argentina Friendship and Cooperation Year 2022, the two countries will engage in a wide range of activities and exchanges throughout the year.

Friends from both countries have been invited by well-known Argentine bloggers Brian González and Brian O’Shea to share anecdotes on the friendship between the two countries.

For the 50th anniversary of diplomatic relations between China and Argentina, the China National Philatelic Corporation will publish a commemorative cover.

Beijing and Sichuan, Chinese provinces and cities, will hold a variety of activities with their Argentine sister provinces/cities. Later, the Foreign Ministry Spokesperson told the press to please keep tuned for more information.
