Islamabad (TDI): Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar on Wednesday received British High Commissioner Jane Marriott in Islamabad, where both sides discussed the evolving regional situation, particularly ongoing efforts to de-escalate tensions between the United States and Iran.
During the meeting, Dar highlighted Pakistan’s continued diplomatic outreach aimed at facilitating engagement between Washington and Tehran.
He reiterated that dialogue and diplomacy remain essential for the peaceful resolution of disputes and for ensuring long-term regional stability.

The British high commissioner appreciated and supported Pakistan’s facilitative role in bringing the US and Iran on the negotiating table, a press statement issued by the foreign office spokesperson said.
