Belgian Operation Red Kite “in full swing”

Brussels, 23 August 2021 (TDI): Minister of Belgium Defense, Ludivine Dedonder in a statement stated that a successful evacuation attempt is done with the evacuation of people from Kabul to Islamabad. On Saturday a Belgian C-130 boarded with over 100 people from Kabul landed at Islamabad airport. Minister Ludivine Dedonder further said that the next flights to Belgium were also successfully completed immediately after the C-130 flight. The Belgians are trying their best to evacuate more and more people safely from Kabul.

Moreover, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs Belgium also stated that a Belgian consular and team of Belgian defense are present at Islamabad airport to assist the people coming from Kabul. MFA Belgium also stated that the evacuated people from Kabul will be moved to Islamabad and then to Belgium as soon as possible.
