New York, 10 September 2021 (TDI): On 9th-September 2021 High-Level Humanitarian Event on Anticipatory Action happened. The meeting took place in New York.
German Humanitarian Assistance with United Nations and UK Aid hosted the High-Level Humanitarian Event.
Mr. António Guterres, Secretary-General of the United Nations said the opening remark of the session. Mr. Martin Griffiths, UN Relief Coordinator, and David Beasley WFP Chief, also spoke to the panel.
Ministers & Senior Official from 100 UN members’ states, joined the session. International Civil Societies, as well as Executive Directors of UN entities also graced the event.
The main agenda of the meeting was to discuss the necessity of anticipatory action.
The comprehensive contribution proved a collective commitment for establishing Anticipatory action.
Facilitating the communities to protect themselves before any predictable crisis or disaster. The session was to help them learn and strategize to prepare themselves in case of any unspoken Catastrophe.
