Islamabad, 25 January 2022 (TDI): Ambassador of Kingdom of Saudi Arabia (KSA) to Pakistan, Nawaf Bin Said-al-Malki called on the Pakistani Federal Minister for Maritime Affairs, Syed Ali Haider Zaidi, in Islamabad.
The agenda of the meeting was to discuss investment and development opportunities in Maritime Sector between Pakistan and Saudi Arabia. The meeting took place in the Ministry of Maritime Affairs.

Federal Minister Syed Ali Haider Zaidi welcomed the visit of the Saudi Ambassador. During the meeting, the two officials discussed matters pertaining to mutual interest. Moreover, Nawaf Bin Said-al-Malki conveyed the interest of Saudi Investors in the maritime sector of Pakistan.
Collaboration in the maritime field will potentially have immense and mutual benefits for the allies. The Saudi Ambassador further highlighted the importance of establishing economic ties with the maritime sector of Pakistan.
Federal Minister Syed Ali Haider Zaidi on his part discussed his vision of Blue Economy along with apprising the Ambassador about all the recent Port projects as well as developments.
He accentuated the tremendous opportunities for the Saudi enterprises in the maritime sector of Pakistan. Pakistan is on the forward trajectory of economic growth and has great potential for investment, being a lucrative market.
In addition to that, Syed Ali Haider Zaidi emphasized that the Blue Economy of Pakistan is unfurling new avenues for advancement and growth not only for Pakistan but also for foreign investors as it offers enormous investment prospects.
Lastly, the Pakistani Minister expressed gratitude to the Ambassador of Saudi Arabia for the visit along with assuring every type of support required from the Maritime Ministry.
