Islamabad: 24 July 2021 (TDI): The Chinese Ambassador to Pakistan Nong Rong met the chairman of the Water and Power Development Authority Pakistan (WAPDA) General retd. Muzammil Hussain in Islamabad.
The meeting was in relevance to the recent Dasu incident. Both sides had detailed discussions on the building of the Dasu Hydropower Project. Chairman WAPDA and Amb. Rong expressed their aims to resolve and restart the construction of the project soon.
Along with this, the chairman WAPDA also held a meeting with China Gezhouba Group Corporation (CGGC) vice president and discussed maintaining a safe and more secure project environment in Dasu.
