Washington DC, 13 December 2021(TDI): Ambassador of Pakistan in the United States Asad Majeed Khan, met with RAND corporation board members. The participants met virtually, and Ceo Michael D. Rich and Director Rafiq Dossani led the session.
With members of the Rand Corporation, Ambassador Khan discussed how Pakistan promotes peace, security, and development at home and abroad. This session helped both parties understand each other.

What is Rand Corporation?
Rand Corporation is a nonprofit institution based in the US that helps improve policy and decision-making through research and analysis. Rand is widely respected for its independence from political or commercial pressures. The research spans the issues that matter the most especially energy, education, health care, justice, international affairs, and national security.
For over seven decades, RAND has used rigorous, fact-based research and analysis to help individuals, families, and communities throughout the world be safer and more secure, healthier and more prosperous.
Rand Center for Asia Pacific Policy (CAPP) is one of the important centre at RAND. It is a platform that shows multidisciplinary, analytic, and regional expertise to the region of Asia.
Furthermore, Rand is a nonprofit organization that counts not only on government but also on individual support. In this sense, the support of individuals can help to respond to controversial issues that governments do not know or cannot address.
The CAPP research area falls into two principal areas. The first area is the Business strategy issues, where markest drivers, currency, trends, and risk issues are studied. The second area is the development issues, where environmental issues, networks, capital markets, and infrastructure issues are touched.
Moreover, the Rand CAPP’s mission is to help policymakers with objective and correct information to respond to different challenges regarding Asia and the United States- Asia relationship.
To accomplish this work, Rand corporation has six divisions. The Office of the president, the research and analysis branch, the finance and operation, the development, then the general counsel, and finally, Rand innovation and Frederich s. Pardee.
The Rand Corporation in Pakistan explores its economic, political, nuclear, and securitarian issues. Moreover, it studies the effects of US military policy and foreign aid to Pakistan.
Rand Corporation view on Pakistan
Rand corporation understands Pakistan as a strategic country to the region. On one hand, it is because it shares borders with strategic countries such as Iran, India, and China. On the other hand, it is because Pakistan plays a huge role in the Middle East. In Pakistan, Rand corporation explores the economic, political, nuclear, and securitarian issues. Moreover, it studies the effects of US military policy and foreign aid to Pakistan.
