94th Anniversary of the Chinese People’s Liberation Army celebrated at GHQ Islamabad

The 94th anniversary of the founding of the Chinese People’s Liberation Army (PLA) was held at the headquarters of the Pakistan Army (GHQ) on Thursday. The Chief of Army Staff (COAS) was the chief guest of the event, according to the statement released by the International Service Public Relations (ISPR).

Chinese Ambassador to Pakistan, Nong Rong, Defense Attaché Major General Chen Wenrong, officials from the Chinese Embassy, and officials from the Pakistani armed forces also attended the event.

On this occasion, the Chinese military attaché thanked the Chief of Army Staff for organizing the reception on the eve of the 94th anniversary of the founding of the Chinese People’s Liberation Army. The military attaché recalled the views of Chinese President Xi Jinping that the Pakistani military is the backbone of Pakistan-China strategic relations, saying that China and Pakistan are hard-core brothers, all-weather friends, and strategic partners.

The Chief of Army staff said that no matter how the world changes, we will always be united to safeguard national sovereignty and territorial integrity and maintain regional peace and stability.

COAS Bajwa congratulated the Chinese leadership and praised the role of the People’s Liberation Army in China’s national defense, security, and nation-building. The commander of the army emphasized all aspects of the close ties between the two countries, the army and the people, saying that Pakistan-China relations are unique and strong, which proves its resilience to the challenges.

General Qamar further added In the ever-changing security environment, the partnership between Pakistan and China has become increasingly important for peace and stability in the region. Our past and present show that we never succumb to challenges. He concluded by saying that The People’s Liberation Army and the Pakistani Army are brothers and sisters, and our relationship will continue to help protect our collective interests.
