Haneef Atmar sends his condolences to Turkey in response to forest fires

On Friday, Mohammad Haneef Atmar, the Foreign Minister of Afghanistan, sent condolences to the people of Turkey.

In Turkey, more than a dozen forest fires that erupted on Wednesday and Thursday are still burning on Friday. Over the last two days, more than 60 forest fires have been reported around the country, with 43 of them brought under control. Dozens of villages and hotels were evacuated. Reports showed people fleeing through fields as firemen on the ground and in helicopters battled a blaze in the east of Antalya.

Atmar was deeply saddened by the forest fires in Turkey. He offers his condolences to Mevlüt Çavuşoğlu, the Foreign Minister of Turkey, and solidarity on behalf of Afghanistan to Turkey for the devastation & loss of lives. He prayed for the rapid recovery of all those who had been affected by the calamity.
