Beijing, 4 August 2021 (TDI): China and Turkey are celebrating the 50th anniversary of their diplomatic ties today. On this occasion, Chinese President Xi and Turkish president Erdogan exchanged congratulatory messages with each other.
In his message President Xi, while emphasizing the 50 years of bilateral relations between the two states mentioned that the cooperation between the nations has developed steadily in different fields especially over the past decade since the establishment of China Turkey cooperative relations.
Xi also underlined the productive vaccine and COVID collaboration that the two nations showed in the past year and mentioned the aim of China to enhance the collaboration with Turkey on the occasion of the 50th anniversary.
Erdogan on his part noted that China and Turkey have achieved huge progress in bilateral relations by cooperating in several areas such as trading, investment, transport, and tourism.
Turkish president hailed the efforts the two states made during the COVID pandemic and also mentioned that Turkey highly values the partnership with China and will continue to promote strategic cooperation with China.
