Youth Ambassador Germany applauds Pak-German friendship

-

Islamabad, 14 August 2021 (TDI): Marion Pfennigs, Youth Ambassador of the German Embassy in Islamabad, thanked Pakistan for sending mangoes to flood victims in Germany.

In July, Germany suffered a deadly and devastating flood that killed nearly 200 people and injured more than 700 and many went missing. Heavy rains in the first weeks of July caused severe flooding in Western Europe, including Belgium, the Netherlands, and Germany. The most affected regions of the country were Rhineland-Palatinate, North Rhine-Westphalia, and Bavaria.

According to the Youth Ambassador, climate change affects almost everyone in every part of the world. Pakistan empathizes with the situation as it is one of the hardest hit by climate change in the world. Youth Ambassador Marion Pfennigs appreciated Pakistan’s humble action for sending mangoes and praised the friendship between Pakistan and Germany.
