US sent US$ 52.3 million worth of Medical Supplies to Jakarta

Jakarta, 13 August 2021 (TDI): Today at Soekarno Hatta Airport, Indonesia received Therapeutic medicines and medical devices as a form of support from the United States and its private sectors such as US pharmaceutical company Eli Lilly and a non-profit organization in the humanitarian field Direct Relief. The supplies were worth more than US$ 52.3 million following the visit of the Indonesian Foreign Minister, Retno L.P. Marsudi to the United States in early August 2021.

The therapeutic drugs and medicines were handed over to the Indonesian Ministry of Health, Head of the Health Crisis Center, and the Director of Administration of Public Drugs and Health Supplies along with Plt. Director America I, Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

Since the beginning of the pandemic, the US has provided over US$ 117.3 million and 8 million Moderna vaccines. The Indonesian Foreign Minister expressed his appreciation to the US for maintaining strong friendship and solidarity with the Indonesian people.
