Sana’a, 26 September 2021 (TDI): On the occasion of the 59th National Day, the President of Yemen, Abd Rabbo Mansour Hadi, called on the people of the Republic to support the state and its efforts to acquire normalcy.
The President also invoked the regional and international community to help in the acquisition of stability. The dangers faced by the Yemeni people at the hands of the Houthi militia should lead to unity and cohesion. He praised the steadfastness and valiance of the Yemeni people in the face of the atrocities committed by the Houthis. He further reiterated that the implementation of the Riyadh Agreement was paramount to achieve peace and stability for the country. In addition to that, the President of the Republic acknowledged the efforts of the Alliance to Support Legitimacy.
The 59th National Day was celebrated on 26th September. It is celebrated in Yemen as the revolution day and is a public holiday. It commemorates the establishment of the Yemen Arab Republic in 1962.
