Yinchuan, 20 August 2021 (TDI): Chinese President Xi Jinping sent a congratulatory letter to the fifth Chinese-Arab expo which opened in Ningxia Hui, the autonomous region of China on Thursday. The expo opened on the 19th and will end on Sunday 22 August.
In his letter Xi mentioned that to promote peace, collaboration, mutual benefit growth, and gainful outcomes, China is ready to collaborate with the Arab states. Xi also asked the Arab states to boost cooperation with China under the Belt and Road Initiative to enhance the strategic partnership between both and to construct together for a new age a community with a common future.
The Expo under the theme ‘strengthening trade and economic cooperation and jointly building the Belt and Road’ is working as a platform for China and Arab states to enhance people-to-people exchanges, cultural, economic, and financial cooperation.
China Foreign Ministry Spokesperson Hua Chunying also mentioned the significance of this expo in a recent conference where she said that China and Arab states have been trading partners for a long time. Looking ahead of this expo, ‘China will follow the consensus reached by President Xi Jinping and leaders of Arab states to continuously deepen connectivity, pursue high-quality BRI cooperation and jointly build a community with a shared future for China and Arab states, added Hua.
