Beijing, 9 September 2021 (TDI): President Xi Jinping congratulated Kim Jong-un, Chairman of State affairs of the Democratic Peoples Republic of Korea (DPRK), on of 73rd founding anniversary of DPRK. He sent a message of felicitations to his counterpart noting that as the general secretary of Worker’s Party of Korea (WPK), Kim has led its people with relentless efforts since its inception for greater socialist causes.
Xi also acknowledged the recent developments in economic and infrastructure sectors hoping to see the democratic republic prosper under the leadership of Kim and WPK. Korea celebrated its anniversary with various celebrations. A military parade was held in Pyongyang attended by Kim and other North Korean leaders.
Earlier this year in July, Kim and Xi exchanged cordial messages to mark the 60th anniversary of China-DPRK’s treaty of Friendship, Cooperation, and Mutual Assistance. Kim said that this is a promotion of the long-term bilateral friendship between the two states and their people. Korea and China share a long and ancient traditional and cultural resemblance and it is always celebrated at such platforms of bilateral agreements. The two countries have also been coordinating to battle the US threats in the region.
