WHO supplies medical supports to treat injured in Kabul attack

Kabul, 28 August 2021(TDI): World Health Organization (WHO) stated that it will provide medical support to the innocent civilians injured in the Kabul airport attack.

During the evacuation of western and American citizens from Afghanistan, a number of Afghan civilians and US military personals injured in a suicide attack on Kabul airport. WHO warned that there was a lack of medical facilities in Afghanistan.

WHO decided to provide medical assistance to Afghan hospitals for the urgent treatment of injured people. In the statement WHO made it clear that we have provided all the medical equipment to the hospital in Kabul for the rehabilitation of injured people. According to WHO, 97% of their medical staff is working in Afghanistan. WHO added that they will supply more medical support to the hospital for the better treatment of victims.
