Pennsylvania (TDI): Following an Election Day software issue in voting machines in the crucial swing state, a Pennsylvania judge on Tuesday granted a request to extend voting hours in a county that leans heavily towards Trump.
In a crucial state that could determine the outcome of this year’s presidential contest between Trump and his Democratic opponent, Kamala Harris, the decision means that the polls will remain open for an extra two hours in a county that voted for Trump by about 70 percent to 30 percent in 2020.
According to court documents filed Tuesday, the local board of elections filed the lawsuit, claiming that a “software malfunction” at electronic voting machines had “prevented voters from scanning their completed ballots.”

The Cambria County Court of Common Pleas responded by directing an extension of the voting hours from 8 p.m. to 10 p.m. local time (0300 GMT).
Following the submission of the complaint, Republican National Committee chairman Michael Whatley issued a statement saying, “This morning’s ballot processing issues in Cambria have resulted in delays – this is unacceptable, plain and simple.”
“We need voters to STAY IN THE LINE, so our legal team moved quickly to support extended hours to give voters the chance to vote!” He went on.
