Hanoi, 10 January 2023 (TDI): The Deputy Foreign Minister of Vietnam, Do Hung Viet presented a $100,000 USD token to Pakistan as a gift from the Vietnamese government and people, on January 9.

Aid was handed over on behalf of the Government of the Socialistic Republic of Vietnam to the Ambassador of Pakistan at a ceremony held at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Vietnam.

During the ceremony, the Deputy Foreign Minister expressed his condolences to the people of Pakistan for the devastation caused by recent typhoons.

He emphasized that the Vietnamese government and people will always stand by Pakistan in a spirit of cooperation, friendship, and mutual support.

The Ambassador of Pakistan, Samina Mehtab, for her part, thanked the Vietnamese government and people for their invaluable assistance.

She stated that Pakistan will distribute aid to affected areas as soon as possible. She also affirmed the two countries’ ongoing efforts to strengthen their friendship.

The relationship between Pakistan and Vietnam is primarily based on mutual trade and international political cooperation. Pakistan has an Embassy in Hanoi, and Vietnam also has an Embassy in Islamabad.
