Washington (TDI): A lot of executive actions have been taken by the United States President Donald Trump since January 20. One of his actions was when he sent the US’s envoy Richard Grenell to Venezuela in order to return six American hostages after meeting Venezuelan President Nicolas Maduro in Caracas.
During the media briefing, officials from the Trump administration had said earlier on Friday that one of Grenell’s top objectives is to visit Americans with peaceful release where they are detained in the country. The Trump administration has started a deportation drive and anti-gang push in the United States.
In this regard, Grenell didn’t reveal their names, showed with him aboard the plane in a photo he posted on X. Those six men were dressed in light blue outfits as per the Venezuelan prison system.

However, on X, Trump revealed his excitement, he said emphasizing that Grenell was returning with six American hostages from Venezuela.
Just been informed that we are bringing six hostages home from Venezuela. Thank you to Ric Grenell and my entire staff. Great job!
