Vancouver, 23 August 2023 (TDI): A remarkable showcase of Pakistani products, the Pakistan Expo Vancouver 2023, unfolded over two days and drew nearly 4,000 attendees.
Moreover, it included vendors, visitors, entrepreneurs, and business enthusiasts from both Pakistan and Canada.
The event, a pioneering initiative, took place in the scenic Canadian city of Vancouver and was designed to foster business-to-business collaborations while displaying the diverse range of Pakistani merchandise to local buyers and customers.
The inaugural ceremony of the event was attended by the High Commissioner for Pakistan to Canada, Zaheer A. Janjua, along with the Consul General of Pakistan to Vancouver, Janbaz Khan, and a multitude of distinguished attendees. This dynamic gathering marked the first of its kind in Western Canada.

Pakistan Western Canada Trade Association (PWCTA) and the Consulate General of Pakistan in Vancouver collectively organized it. A vibrant delegation of Pakistani vendors, representing various sectors from across the country, also actively participated in the expo.
High Commissioner Zaheer complimented the organizers for their visionary efforts in successfully orchestrating the Expo in Canada in a remarkably short period.
In addition, he underscored the pivotal role played by the Pakistani diaspora of around half a million in Canada. Zaheer Janjua also emphasized how they have contributed to fostering the warm and enduring relationship between the two nations.
He highlighted, “Our diaspora is instrumental in the progress of both Pakistan and Canada, bridging the gap between the two nations.”
He also expressed his optimism that the Pakistan Expo Vancouver 2023 would effectively facilitate enhanced cooperation between the private sectors of Pakistan and Canada, thus bolstering bilateral commerce and trade.
Furthermore, the Pakistan High Commission is actively working on future initiatives. It includes a Pakistan Fashion Industry Expo scheduled for March 2024 and the Pakistan Trade Expo in October 2024, he added.
