Tashkent, 9 January 2023 (TDI): The acting Foreign Minister of Uzbekistan, Bakhtiyor Saidov met with his counterpart the Foreign Minister of Turkiye, Mevlut Cavusoglu as they discussed ways to promote bilateral relations.

At the meeting, they talked about certain critical topics which will help to promote their relations stronger. They are the current state and prospects for the development of Uzbekistan and Turkiye.

The current state of development between these two countries was measured based on certain key issues, looking at their relations in terms of economic development, cultural relations, and the exchange of diplomats.

The emphasis was placed on their economic relations. A country seeking development their ability to promote common economic relations will yield a better foundation for them.

They also reflected on the challenges and achievements they obtained last year. Also, the two sides exchanged views on organizational aspects of upcoming joint events.

In this context the Foreign Minister of Turkiye, Mevlut Cavusoglu stated that there are plans underway to bring more joint events between these two countries this year.

These initiatives are set to ensure that, they meet and discuss the way forward in their relations. They again noted that the initiative will help them to be able to develop their cultural identities as a nation.

The organizational plans are set to commence soon and for event planners to undertake their duties in developing the major areas needed for them to meet.

They further assured that they will use those events as an opportunity to generate revenues for the development of their countries.

The aim to further strengthen ties between these two countries will again be extensively discussed during the events.

The Foreign Minister of Uzbekistan, Bakhtiyor Saidov applauded his counterpart and extended his best wishes to the government of Turkiye.

In line with the above, both Ministers assured each other that they will work hard to ensure that the aim to move their countries forward is achieved.

Turkiye and Uzbekistan have had long-standing relations which have brought development to all of them.
