New York (TDI): Uzbekistan’s Permanent Mission to the United Nations hosted a presentation at the UN headquarters in New York, unveiling the country’s strategy for developing artificial intelligence technologies by 2030.
The event, arranged in collaboration with the Interpol and UN Counter-Terrorism Office, drew significant attendance from UN officials, members of the diplomatic field and experts.
Participants were introduced to the key directions highlighted in Uzbekistan’s AI Strategy, along with the country’s current reforms and achievements in the sector.
Emphasis was placed on President Shavkat Mirziyoyev’s commitment to developing information technologies and fostering innovation.

The presentation highlighted the country’s plans to grow its AI-based software products and services sector to 1.5 billion dollars by 2030.
This strategy also includes establishing ten scientific laboratories specializing in AI and boosting the regulatory framework to support technological developments.
