Dushanbe, 16 September 2021 (TDI): President of Uzbekistan, Shavkat Mirziyoyev met with the President of Tajikistan, Emomali Rahmon in Dushanbe.
The two presidents reviewed the current situation of Tajikistan-Uzbekistan relations. As well as potential approaches to strengthen bilateral ties. Tashkent’s principal foreign policy objective under Shavkat Mirziyoyev has been to strengthen regional cooperation among Central Asian states.
Both sides emphasized the importance of trade and economic cooperation between the two countries. They mentioned that favorable trade and economic cooperation dynamics have been formed between our countries. Moreover, the discussion focused on current challenges on the international and regional agenda.
