Kabul (TDI): Afghanistan has made considerable progress in constructing the (Turkmenistan-Afghanistan-Pakistan-India) TAPI gas pipeline.
Citing the Herat provincial governor’s office, Afghan media reported that approximately 6 kilometers of pipeline have already been laid since work started last month.
Maulana Islam Jar, Herat Governor, assured project representatives of his full support, saying that TAPI will play a crucial role in boosting the economy and promoting regional stability.
Afghanistan’s section of the pipeline is likely to take about two years to complete and represents a major milestone for the broader project.
