Islamabad (TDI): Ambassador Olof Skoog, European Union (EU) Special Representative for Human Rights, has arrived in Pakistan to meet with officials, human rights workers and civil society members.
Upon his arrival on Monday, the ambassador emphasized the significance of dialogue on human rights issues, expressing the EU’s commitment to closely work with Pakistan.

The envoy is scheduled to meet authorities, human rights activists and civil society representatives at the weekend to hold meaningful discussions and address human rights challenges.
The ambassador will engage with all stakeholders to explore avenues for cooperation.

His visit highlights EU’s commitment to advancing human rights cause in bilateral ties with Pakistan.
Pakistan and EU cooperate on human rights through various programmes that promote and advance human rights, rule of law, and democracy.

The EU also supports civil society organizations (CSOs) and gender equality in Pakistan.
