Uzbek Deputy Prime Minister spoke with Abdul Razak Dawood

Tashkent, 24 August 2021 (TDI): Sardor Umurzakov, Uzbekistan’s Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Investments and Foreign Trade, spoke via video conference with Abdul Razak Dawood, Pakistan’s Adviser to the Prime Minister on Commerce and Investment. Both parties discussed the agenda of the bilateral cooperation between two countries.

In the meeting, both sides emphasized on continuing efforts to strengthen cooperation in trade, economy, industry, investment, transport, and logistics. They also discussed the preparations for signing the Uzbek-Pakistan Agreement on Preferential Trade. Concerning transport and logistics cooperation, the parties highlighted their willingness to take measures for sustainable transit. Deepening collaboration in the banking and financial sectors was also highlighted.

At the end of the meeting, both parties agreed to complete the process of developing an action plan for the implementation of all agreements achieved during bilateral activities with Pakistan in Tashkent in July this year.
