Lahore, 24 December 2021 (TDI): Yesterday, the United States of America’s (USA) Consul General William K. Makaneole in Lahore attended a Christmas event organized by the Alhamra Arts Centre in Lahore.
The event was organized by Moneeza Hashmi, the Chairperson for Lahore Arts Council (LAC), and by Zulfiqar Ali Zulfi the Executive Director of LAC. The event constituted a colorful cake-cutting ceremony.
The goal of the event was to make the Christian community in Lahore feel accepted and at home. The members of the Lahore Arts Council greeted the Christian minority in Lahore.

The USA Consul General attended the event wearing the traditional ‘Shalwar Kameez with a cultural Sindhi Ajrak Shawl. Thus, paying respect to the people and culture of Pakistan.
It was a gathering of people from different backgrounds, coming together to celebrate each other’s culture, to bring acceptance in the society.
USA and Pakistan
The United States of America (USA) and Pakistan share a very strong relationship. The USA and Pakistan are collaborating in various areas such as health security, bringing peace and stability in South East Asia, Climate Change, and creating innovative opportunities for their people.
Pakistan and USA have recently been collaborating to provide humanitarian assistance to the people of Afghanistan. The USA has donated millions of vaccines to Pakistan as part of its COVAX mission.
The two countries have also joined in on the COP26 Summit to fight Climate Change and protect the world from any environmental crisis. The people of both nations are also contributing to strengthening the ties between the two countries by investing in various business opportunities. For Instance in the Automotive Industry, Information technology sector, and many more.
Moreover, the USA has also through its various departments helped Pakistan in fighting its war against drugs and in empowering women and all genders. Both the countries are enjoying good relations and are achieving their national interests along the way.
