Washington, 21 September 2021 (TDI): Spokesperson for the U.S State Department Ned Price reported on Monday that the U.S Secretary of State Antony J. Blinken called his Italian counterpart Di Maio.
Spokesperson Ned Price stated that Secretary of State Antony Blinken and Italian Foreign Minister Luigi Di Maio deliberated on the cooperation between the two states. Both the officials particularly discussed collaboration to mobilize global efforts against the Covid-19 pandemic. Whereas, Secretary Antony Blinken expressed his gratitude to Italy for taking a leadership role to address the global pandemic.
Italy is serving as the G20 President for the year 2021 and is engaged tirelessly in rallying a strong response to address the global pandemic.
