UNSC condemns terrorism in Afghanistan

Kabul, 28 August 2021 (TDI): The United Nations Security Council (UNSC) condemned all the violent actions and terrorist activities in Afghanistan against civilians.

UNSC released a press statement about the terrible attack on Afghanistan airport. In the statement, it was made clear that violent actions against humanity are not bearable. These inhuman actions not only destabilized Afghanistan but also created instability in South Asia. In the press, all the 15 members agreed to engage the Taliban in the peace process to maintain the stability in Afghanistan, which links with the regional stability.

As in Afghanistan, there was political and economic instability for the last two decades. UNSC members reaffirmed that war is not the possible solution, peace and stability in Afghanistan will be possible by engaging the Taliban in the peace process.
