Accra, 20 October 2021 (TDI): UNFPA Ghana shares a tweet about ending child marriage. This is to support, promote and increase education and conversation on issues about child marriage. Further, they added many people are still unaware of facts and laws on child marriage.

Furthermore, UNFPA added that a young girl is not safe in a marriage with an adult male. She is only safe around her parents.
In a series of tweets, they have shared that girls deserve education. Girls deserve a bright future and equal opportunities. Each and every investment in the adolescent girl matters.
UNFPA Ghana has mentioned that government actions and community engagement is also important for ending forced and early marriages. Eradicating child marriages will have positive implications on maternal morbidity. Communities must have engagements and government needed to advance efforts to eradicate it.
UNFPA Ghana Representative, Niyi Ojuolape, on the occasion of International Day of the Girl Child 2021, promotes the digital world for girls. Niyi Ojuolape, Representative of UNFPA Ghana said that we need to build a digital world that is accessible and safe for girls.
