UNDP Pakistan joined hands with Global Water Challenge


Gilgit-Baltistan: 24th, 2021 (TDI):  United Nation Development Program Pakistan along with the support from Global Water Challenge is working to put in place irrigation channels in Gilgit Baltistan. UNDP and GWC is building capacity for local stewardship. UNDP plays a critical role in helping countries achieve Sustainable Development Goals. The project will provide economic, social, and environmental benefits to the community and replenish 2.57 billion liters of water back to nature as well as the community. A local resident was quoted saying, ‘This project has transformed our lives and we can now look forward to the future without fear’.
